The top 6 after the ladies SP are less than 3 points apart, so the competition is wide open and anything can happen after the free skate tomorrow!
Leonova 56.24
Korpi 54.71
Pöykiö 54.64
Suguri 54.09
Samson 53.67
Lepistö 53.45
Alena Leonova somehow hit the boards while she was stroking backwards setting up her triple flip, and then she had to step out of the landing. Otherwise, her Russian folk music program went well, and she reminded many spectators of Irina Slutskaya.
A relatively unknown Myriane Samson from Canada skated a clean program including a triple lutz –double loop combination and mixed the pack a bit.
Susanna Pöykiö seemed a bit slow coming out of her jumps and had to put a hand on the ice on the landing of her triple flip.
